Riding Benefits

Jan, Cindy, & Marlo

Therapeutic horseback riding enriches lives - physically, emotionally and psychologically.

Research shows that many cognitive disabled, physically disabled, and "at risk" youth benefit from a therapeutic riding program. Therapeutic riding is particularly effective in dealing with a variety of disabilities, such as Developmental Delay, learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke symptoms, Down's Syndrome, and visual or hearing impairments.

Our school helps riders by increasing muscular strength, sequential thought and action, attention span, and by building new self-confident and positive attitudes that result in improved independence and increased ability to function in the activities of daily life.
